释义 | coacheen.1 U.S. Chiefly historical after mid 19th cent. A lightweight horse-drawn carriage; spec. a light, relatively long carriage with seating for several passengers and an open front, often used by families.Although the name coachee appears to have been applied rather loosely to various coachlike vehicles used for various purposes, a typical family coachee of c1840 resembled a coach with relatively long, lightweight body suspended on leather straps or springs, large unglazed windows with leather or cloth curtains, two doors in the side or one at the rear for passengers, and an open front (sometimes with a curtain) with a bench seat for the driver.
