Etymology: < amove v.2 + -able suffix. Compare earlier amovability n., and also earlier removable adj.Compare post-classical Latin amovibilis (from 15th cent. in British sources), French amovible (1681). With the β. forms compare -ible suffix.
Now rare.
Of a person: subject to removal or dismissal from an office or position; removable.
