The action of dag v.1; clogging with dirt, esp. of the wool about the hinder parts of a sheep; spec. in Australia and New Zealand, the operation of cutting off the ‘dags’ or locks of dirty wool from (sheep); in plural (concrete) = dag-locks (dag-lock n.).
