Of, relating to, or characteristic of the Basket Maker people, or of their successors the early Pueblo people, who inhabited a region in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, and together are considered as forming one continuous civilization that flourished between c400 and 1300 a.d. Cf. Anasazi adj.This term is now largely preferred to Anasazi.
