Etymology: < post-classical Latin fulgureus of or relating to lightning (5th cent.), gleaming, brilliant (6th cent.; < classical Latin fulgur fulgur n. + -eus : see -eous suffix) + -ous suffix.In fulgureous exhalation after post-classical Latin exhalatio fulgurea in Adrianus Toll's edition (1649) of Anselmus de Boodt's Gemmarum et Lapidum Historia.
Obsolete. rare.
Of the nature of lightning.Only found in fulgureous exhalation.
