Etymology: < green adj. + -kin suffix, after classical Latin prasinus group of charioteers at the circus whose colour was green, use as noun of masculine of prasinus leek-green (see prasine adj.); compare green n.1 4b.
Obsolete. rare.
A person dressed in green or wearing green colours.
