释义 | Heimlich manoeuvreHeimlich maneuvern. An emergency procedure for dislodging obstructive material from the airway of a person who is choking, which is effected by the sudden application of strong pressure upward and into the abdomen between the navel and the sternum. If the casualty is standing, the manoeuvre is performed standing behind him or her with one's arms clasped around the waist and with one hand grasping the other in a fist. If the casualty is unable to stand, it is performed sitting astride him or her.
