Etymology: < the name of an English navigator, Henry Hudson (died c1611), discoverer of the North American bay, river, and strait which bear his name: see -ian suffix.
Of or pertaining to Hudson Bay and the surrounding land, esp. in the names of animals and the territory from Labrador to Alaska, as far south as the tree line, classified as the Hudsonian biogeographical zone.
