释义 | Maphilindon. A planned association of Malaya, the Philippines, and Indonesia, proposed in 1963 but never successfully operative (see quots.). Malaya, Indonesia, and the Philippines], and to call it ‘Maphilindo’ taking in the names of the three countries. 1965 Ann. Reg. 1964 94 Brunei received an invitation from Indonesia to support the plan for Maphilindo (the closer union of Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia proposed at the Manila summit meeting of 1963). 1978 Internat. During a temporary lull in ‘Confrontation’, tripartite meetings of representatives of Malaya, the Philippines and Indonesia were held..which culminated in the formation of a new organization of the three countries, Maphilindo...
