Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French Micoquien.
Etymology: < French Micoquien (O. Hauser La Micoque (1916) 55) < La Micoque , the name of a collapsed rock shelter near the village of Les Eyzies in the Dordogne region of south-western France, type-site of this Acheulean culture + -ien -ian suffix.
