Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: nonplus n., -ed suffix2; nonplus v., -ed suffix1.
Etymology: Either < nonplus n. + -ed suffix2, or < nonplus v. + -ed suffix1. In sense 2 probably arising by misanalysis of uses in sense 1, probably as a result of association with other words in non- prefix.
