Etymology: < the name Acrasia (see definition below; compare acrasia n. and acrasy n.) + -an suffix.
Of, relating to, or characteristic of Acrasia, a personification of excess or intemperance presented as a deceitful enchantress in Spenser's Faerie Queene (cf. quot. 1590 at acrasia n.); spec. designating Acrasia's home, the ‘Bower of Bliss’; reminiscent or evocative of this.
