Edwardes Year on Punjab Frontier I. ix. 454 Trade between India and central Asia is carried on..by Afghan merchants, who are generally called Lohânees, but locally in the Dérajât Powinduhs, or Povindeuhs... Lohânee is not a name applicable to either the Kharotees or the Nâssurs, so I prefer calling them Powinduhs, a name which they all acknowledge.
