Etymology: < prat n.1 + -ed suffix2.With ill-pratted at main sense compare earlier occurrence of Scots ill-pratty , ill-pretty in the same sense (1710). Compare also ill prat (see quot. 1756 at prat n.1).
Scottish. rare.
Having tricks or guileful practices. Only in ill-pratted.
