Mineralogy.
A mineral of the triclinic crystal system which consists of a hydrated calcium borate, Ca4B10O19·7H2O, and typically occurs as white, earthy nodules and masses. Cf. pandermite n.

1873 B. Silliman in Amer. Jrnl. Sci. 6 130 As it appears therefore to be a new species I would propose for it the name priceite, in honour of Mr. Thomas Price, the well known metallurgist of San Francisco.
1923 H. H. Read Rutley's Elem. Mineral. (ed. 21) ii. 152 Priceite and pandermite are hydrated calcium borates related to colemanite. Priceite is a soft, white, earthy mineral, and pandermite is a somewhat harder mineral.
1981 Canad. Mineralogist 19 295/2 The priceite occurs as 5–16mm white to very light orange clusters unevenly distributed over a 50cm interval.
