Origin: Apparently a borrowing from French. Etymon: French prussite.
Etymology: Apparently < French prussite (although this is apparently first attested slightly later: a1796 or earlier) < Prusse Prussia (see pruce adj.) + -ite -ite suffix1.
Chemistry. Obsolete.
