Etymology: < classical Latin pseudisodomon (Pliny), use as noun of neuter (in Greek form) of pseudisodomus (adjective) built of equal blocks, but in courses of unequal size (Vitruvius) < ancient Greek ψευδ- pseudo- comb. form + ἴσος equal (see iso- comb. form) + -δόμος , combining form (see oecodomical adj.). Compare isodomon n.
