Origin: Of multiple origins. Partly a borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Partly a variant or alteration of another lexical item. Etymons: Latin rememorari , -able suffix; memorable adj.
Etymology: Originally < post-classical Latin rememorari, rememorare (see remember v.1) + -able suffix. Compare Middle French rememorable (1535 in an apparently isolated attestation). In later use re-formed as alteration of memorable adj. after remember v.1 Compare earlier rememberable adj., memorable adj.
