Etymology: < bimb- (in bimbo n.2) + -ette suffix.
colloquial and usually derogatory.
A young woman or teenage girl who is regarded as sexually attractive, but unintelligent or frivolous. Cf. bimbo n.2 2a.Apparently sometimes used as an alternative to the term bimbo, with implication of (relative) youth.
