Origin: Formed within English, by clipping or shortening. Etymon: hijacker n.
Etymology: < -jacker (in hijacker n.). Apparently found earliest in derivatives of formations in -jack comb. form or -jacking comb. form, as skyjacker n., carjacker n. at carjacking n. Derivatives. Compare also -jack comb. form, -jacking comb. form.

Forming agent nouns (sometimes ad hoc formations) corresponding to nouns and verbs formed with -jack comb. form.
