释义 | white acren. Law. 1. An arbitrary name given to a theoretical portion of land, esp. used to distinguish it from a second, ‘black’ acre, and perhaps a third, ‘green’ acre. Cf. black acre n.The choice of the words ‘white’, ‘black’, and ‘green’ was perhaps influenced by their use to indicate different types of crop, vegetation, or soil.
