Hemp Cutter

Hemp Cutter

(hemp reaper), a tractor-drawn machine for mowing hemp and depositing it on a field. Hemp cutters made in the USSR are intended for operation with tractors of the 1.4 ton class.

The hemp cutter is driven by the power take-off shaft of the tractor. The stalks are separated by dividers into strips and fed to the belts of a pan conveyor. A cutter bar cuts the stalks gripped by the belts. The belts pile the stalks on the table of the batch divider, where lifters (fingers) gather the stalks, batch them, and dump them onto the field. A grass separator removes the weeds and stalk parts from the stalks as they move in the channels of the pan conveyor. Seeds shed during the cutting and conveying fall into seed collectors. The operating width is 2.1 m.
