Iasinovataia

a city (since 1938) under oblast jurisdiction and the administrative center of Iaşinovataia Raion, Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Railroad junction for lines to Dnepropetrovsk, Zhdanov, Krinichnaia, and Konstantinovka. Population, 39,000 (1974). Industry is represented by enterprises serving railroad transportation, a machine-building plant, a plant for the manufacture of reinforced-concrete structural products, a Mettlach tile shop, and a cereal-products combine. A transport construction technicum is located in the city. Iaşinovataia has a museum of revolutionary, military, and labor glory.
