Agul

(in the upper reaches, Bol’shoi Agul), a river in Irkutsk Oblast and Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR; right-hand tributary of the Kan River. The Agul is 347 km long; its basin has an area of 11,600 sq km.

It rises on the northern slopes of the Agul Belki in the Vostochnyi Saian (mountain range) and flows northward through a narrow valley and, in its lower reaches, along the foothills of the Vostochnyi Saian. The Agul and its left tributary, the Kungus River, are suitable for timber floating.
