[′hil·bərt ‚par·ə′lel·ə‚tōp] (mathematics) A subset of an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space with coordinates x1, x2, … , for which the absolute value of xn is equal to or less that (1/2) n for each n. The subset of this space for which the absolute value of xn is equal to or less that 1/ n for each n.
