Facilities:132 campsites (some with electricity), 2 rental cottages, picnicshelters, trails, restrooms, showers, boat ramp, marina, store, cruiseboat, volleyball area, playground, developed wildlife viewing site,interpretive center.
Activities:Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, water-skiing, sailing, canoeing,hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-countryskiing, waterfowl hunting, guided nature walks, wildlife observation,interpretive programs.
Special Features:Created in 1908, Heyburn is the oldest state park in the PacificNorthwest and includes 3 lakes: Chatcolet, Benewah, and Hidden lakes.In addition, the Saint Joe River meanders along the eastern boundary ofthe park. Before it was a park, this area was a gathering place for theCoeur d'Alene Indian tribe.
