Hagemeister Strait
a strait in the Bering Sea between Hagemeister Island and the North American continent (the southwestern coast of Alaska). Length, about 11 km; width at narrowest point, about 3.7 km. In the channel, the strait is up to 18 m deep, and in the shallows the depth is up to 5.7 m. There are powerful tidal currents.
