Karabanovo

a city in Vladimir Oblast, RSFSR. Railroadstation, 9 km south of the city of Aleksandrov. Population, 19, 000 (1970). There is a cotton combine. An evening textiletechnicum is located there. Karabanovo was first established in1846 in connection with the construction of a dye factory. Itbecame a city in 1938.
