Location:In the western part of central Massachusetts, on Rt 47 via Mass Pike (I-90).

Activities:Hiking, hawk watching, hang gliding, fall foliage viewing, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Park is located atop Mount Holyoke and offers outstanding views of theConnecticut River Valley. Summit House, a popular mountaintop hotel inthe 1880s, is open for tours during the summer months, offeringhistoric displays as well as special events. Park is named for JosephAllen Skinner, a wealthy industrialist who donated the park's land andthe hotel to the state in 1940.
