Armure Weave

Armure Weave

a type of weave characterized by a small, geometrically regular, repeating pattern on the fabric’s surface. The effect of armure weaves is often heightened by using different colors for the warp and weft threads. Armure weaves, which are reproduced on dobby looms, are used in making dresses, suits, toweling (honeycomb), and other textile goods.
