Ivanovskii

a range of mountains in the western part of the Altai, in the Kazakh SSR. The Ivanovskii Range belongs to the Rudnyi Altai. Maximum elevation, 2,776 m; length, approximately 100 km. It is composed of schists and limestones, with intrusions; deposits of polymetals are located there. The slopes are covered with forests, birch and aspen on the west side and coniferous forest, Siberian firs predominating, on the east.
