Lokbatan

an urban-type settlement in Azerbaijan SSR, part of the Karadagskii district of the city of Baku. Population, 16,800 (1972). The G. M. Dimitrov Machine-building Plant and a bakery combine are located in Lokbatan. The settlement is the site of a branch of the Baku Petroleum Technicum and a children’s sanatorium.
