malignant giant cell tumour of tendon sheath

A rare tumour, the very existence of which is disputed. The diagnosis is made in tumours in which a benign component is juxtaposed to overly malignant areas, or when a typical giant cell tumour recurs as a sarcoma. They are locally aggressive and require wide excision or amputation if they involve an extremity.
