Malyi Cheremshan
a river in Tatar ASSR and Ul’ianovsk Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Bol’shoi Cheremshan (Volga basin). Length, 192 km; basin area, 3,190 sq km. It flows mainly southward, along the Low Trans-Volga Region. It is fed primarily by snow. The average flow rate 123 km from the mouth is 4.75 cu m per sec, with a maximum of 348 cu m per sec and a minimum of 0.06 cu m per sec. The river freezes in November and thaws in April.
