Basegi
a mountain range in the Central Urals, in the interfluve of the Us’va and the Vil’va rivers (Kama basin). Length, about 30 km; maximum elevation, 993 m. It is composed of micaceous quartzite, phyllite, and other metamorphic rock of the Ordovician period. The slopes are covered with taiga forest (spruce and fir); there are mountain tundra and alluvial rock on the peaks.
