Konosha Elevation
Konosha Elevation
an upland between the Severnaia Dvina and Onega basins in the southwest part of Arkhangelsk Oblast and the north of Vologda Oblast, RSFSR. The base of the Konosha Elevation is composed primarily of red Upper Permian sandstone and clay deposits. The relief is hilly and morainal. Altitudes of 150–200 m predominate (with a maximum altitude of 244 m). The elevation is covered with central taiga forests (fir and fir-pine).
