Nugush

Nugush

 

(Bol’shoi Nugush), a river in the Bashkir ASSR; a right tributary of the Belaia River. It is 235 km long and drains an area of 3,820 sq km. Originating in the Iurmatau Range in the Southern Urals, it is fed primarily by snow. The mean flow rate 194 km from the river’s mouth is 4 cu m per sec. The river freezes over in the first half of November and thaws in the second half of April. The lower Nugush is navigable. There is a reservoir on the river. The Pribel’skii section of the Bashkir Preserve is located in the Nugush River basin.
