Kulu
a river in Khabarovsk Krai and Magadan Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Kolyma River. It is formed by the confluence of the Khudzhakh and Ken’elichi rivers, which rise in the eastern spurs of the Suntar-Khaiata Range. Length, 300 km (from the source of the Ken’elichi, 384 km). It is fed by a mixture of sources. The average discharge in the lower course is 92 cu m per sec. The Kulu freezes over in October and opens up in late May.
