Petukhova, Kseniia Kupriianovna

 

Born Jan. 3 (16), 1909, in the village of Izhevskoe, now in Spassk Raion, Riazan’ Oblast. Innovator in kolkhoz production methods; brigade leader of the calf tenders of the Delo Oktiabria Kolkhoz in Spassk Raion, Riazan’ Oblast. Twice designated Hero of Socialist Labor (1953, 1957). Member of the CPSU since 1940.

Petukhova joined the Delo Oktiabria Kolkhoz in 1930. In 1952 she obtained an average daily weight increase of 1,200 g per calf for 25 calves up to four months in age. The daily weight increase per calf also exceeded 1 kg in subsequent years. Petukhova was a delegate to the Twenty-first and Twenty-third Congresses of the CPSU and a deputy to the seventh convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. She has been awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, two other orders, various medals, and the large gold medals of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition and the Exhibition of the Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR.
