Kueilin

a city in southern China, on the Kwei River (tributary of the Hsi River), in the Kwangsi Chuang Autonomous Region. Population, 170,000(1957). It has a station on the Hunan-Kwangsi Railway, as well as a wharf. There are food-processing, chemical, and paper-making enterprises, an electromechanical plant, and an electric power plant. There are also institutes of geology and prospecting and medicine. A mountain health resort is also located there.
