Naval Landing Forces

troops organized for landing from the sea or who have landed on the enemy coast.

According to the scope and objectives, naval landing forces may be strategic, operational, tactical, or reconnaissance and sabotage. Naval landing forces disembark either by the coast-to-coast method, where the landing force is transported in landing ships and disembarks directly on the shore, or by the ship-to-coast method, where the landing force is transported in transport ships and transfers into landing craft near the enemy shore.
