(ahrch fut) 1. Longitudinal: consisting of a medial longitudinal arch, including the calcaneus, talus, navicular, three cuneiform bones, and the three medial metatarsals, and a lateral longitudinal arch formed by calcaneus, cuboid and two lateral metatarsals. 2. Transverse: formed by the proximal parts of the metatarsal bones, the three cuneiform bones, and the cuboid.
