NHS strategic tracing service

An NHS service begun in 1999 to provide secure access to an administration database for the NHS, which contained details of all persons within England and Wales who were registered for medical services with the NHS. The NSTS also contained details on NHS organisations and geographic information (addresses, postcodes and boundaries, etc.) relating to those organisations.
The NSTS is now closed for online tracing, batch tracing and population reporting. Replacement services may be found in the demographics section on the NWW website—for NHS staff only (N3 connection required)—or NHS Connecting for Health.
