Niandoma Upland
Niandoma Upland
an upland in southwestern Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR. With elevations ranging from 200–250 m and higher, the upland extends for 100 km from north to south and has a maximum width of 25 km. The terrain is morainic and hilly. The tributaries of the Voloshka and Mosha rivers (Onega River basin) and the Vel’ and Puia rivers (Severnaia Dvina River basin) originate in the upland. The region is dotted with many small lakes and swamps and has forests of fir and pine.
