Lullubi


Lullubi

 

an ancient ethnic group that lived in the mountains east of Mesopotamia. An inscription of a king of the Lullubi with the Akkadian name Annubanini has come down to us from the 22nd century B.C. In the second millennium B.C., there were many Lullubi slaves in the Human states. Lullubi city-states are mentioned in inscriptions of the Assyrian kings from the ninth century B.C. In the Urartian language lulu means “foreign enemy.”
