Special Features:The birthplace, church, and grave of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., civil rights leader, are parts of this park. The surrounding 68-acre preservation district includes Sweet Auburn, the economic and cultural center of Atlanta's African-American community during most of the 20th century.
