Navlia

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Navlia Raion, Briansk Oblast, RSFSR. It is located on the Navlia River (a tributary of the Desna) and has a railroad station 53 km south of Briansk. Population, 10,600 (1972). Navlia has sleeper-impregnation, automotive equipment, motor-vehicle repair, and vegetable-drying plants, as well as a butter factory and a wood-products combine.
