Lake Chad Basin Commission

An international organization established to protect the environment of Lake Chad. It aims to preserve the basin around Lake Chad, as well as the upper Chari-Logone and Komadugu-Yobe basins. It was established in 1964 and consists of Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Niger and Nigeria.
