Oljato

Oljato

((2201) Oljato) An Apollo asteroid that has a diameter of about 1.4 km and a high albedo of 0.42. Discovered in 1947 by the US astronomer Henry L. Giclas, Oljato has a chaotic orbit, its semimajor axis varying violently due to its many close approaches to Earth and Venus. It might possibly be a dormant or extinct cometary nucleus. It is also associated with several meteoroid streams.
