Lang Shan


Lang Shan

 

(Khara-Narin), a mountain range in China. It extends 300 km along the left bank of the middle course of the Huang Ho and reaches an altitude of 2,109 m. The range is composed mainly of schists and gneiss. The northwestern slope is gentle; the southeastern slope, facing the Huang Ho valley, is higher and steeper and is dissected by narrow valleys. Semideserts covered with small shrubs predominate.
